Captain America!

Hello to anyone who reads this, if anyone is actually reading this....

Well, first thing's first, as you can probably tell from the title, today I went and saw 'Captain America' (this was after a lot of hesitation on my part, and a lot of persuasion on my sisters part), and it definitely surpassed my expectations.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE superhero movies, after seeing Thor and Green Lantern earlier this year, I was fairly certain that I would find this on just as amazing. But the trailer just didn't appeal to me, and I have no idea why.
It couldn't have been the casting as I love Chris Evans and Stanley Tucci, so I was still unsure about what the reason was.

So as nothing else was on at the cinema (that I hadn't already seen) we decided to see it, and I'm glad I did, as it was very good, but in my opinion, not as good as the other superhero movies that have been released this year.

Maybe it's just me, but I got slightly confused about who some of the characters were, I was also a bit confused about what the weird glowing cube actually did, but maybe that's just me being stupid!

The graphics were amazing and the twist at the end was so unexpected, thrown with amazing casting (Dominic Cooper was a very unexpected cast member) and great dialogue, even if the German accents did annoy me slightly.

But overall, even if I was reluctant to see it, it's truly amazing, like I said not my favourite it is a great superhero movie. Maybe what I didn't like was that it was set in 1949 or the fact that Chris Evans wasn't shirtless enough, but that can't be it!

4/5 stars! if you're a superhero movie fan DEFINITELY go and see it, and even if you're not it could change your whole perspective on those movies.

the basic explanation

So, here goes. My name is Shannon, as you can probably tell, this blog is will about movies.

I go to the cinema every Saturday with my sister. We basically are movie addicts!

I will write reviews about new movie releases that I see in the cinema and any movies I watch at home on DVD. I hope you enjoy my ramblings.

Also feel free recommend movie for me to watch and review, that would be rather helpful!

Thank you.
